International Seminar “Innovative Approaches in Agriculture, Biotechnology, and Digital Competencies”
October 8–9 | Start time: 09:00 EEST / 11:00 UZT

On October 8–9, an international seminar will bring together experts, researchers, and practitioners to discuss current trends in agricultural science, biotechnology, and the integration of digital competencies in education and research. The event aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange across borders.

The first day of the seminar will focus on the scientific foundations and practical applications of agroecology, including sustainable and nature-friendly farming practices. Participants will also explore modern cultivation systems for berry crops—such as strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries—and best practices in crop nutrition. A dedicated session will address the use of Python for data analysis in agriculture, showcasing methods in data cleaning, visualization, statistical modeling, and machine learning.

The second day will highlight smart and sustainable agriculture, with presentations on digital technologies and national policies supporting bioeconomy development. The program will feature innovative biotechnological methods in plant propagation, including in vitro cultivation of medicinal plants and potatoes, as well as techniques for acclimatizing grafted fruit tree seedlings. The event will conclude with a session on fruit and vegetable crop production technologies in Uzbekistan, presenting field-tested practices for crops such as strawberries, melons, okra, and sweet potatoes.

This seminar offers a valuable opportunity to engage with the latest scientific developments, applied technologies, and practical experiences driving sustainable, data-informed agricultural development.

Participation is particularly relevant for professionals, researchers, educators, and policymakers interested in advancing agricultural practices, biotechnology, and digital integration in science and education.
